Below are some websites and organisations that may be of interest to you if you are looking at coming to New Zealand to work and play.

IRD

The Inland Revenue will be able to give you advice on how the New Zealand tax system works. If you are from overseas and planning to travel to New Zealand for seasonal work then you will most likely need to apply for an IRD number, forms can be downloaded from the Inland Revenue website.

Ministry of Labour/ New Zealand Now


The Ministry of Labour provides information on the New Zealand Visitor’s Visas and the Working Holiday scheme as well as more permanent options. It has all the basic information you will need to know to live and work in New Zealand such as minimum wage, workplace standards, drivers licence required and much more.

HBNZ


Hawke’s Bay is renowned internationally for its award-winning wines and is often referred to as the ‘wine country’. The two main cities are Napier and Hastings (both within 15minutes drive of each other). Havelock North is located 5 minutes from Hastings. The landscape is made up of vineyards and orchards, with beautiful east coast beaches nearby. There is lots to do and see including the annual Harvest Weekend, Mission Concert and Art Deco Weekend.
